In T&T: Caribbean Airlines picks new J’ca GM

New man in charge at CAL (Jamaica operations), as airline seeks to increase efficiency and profitability.

Caribbean Airlines has announced the appointment of Clive Forbes as general manager with responsibility for the airline’s Jamaican operations.
Forbes comes to Caribbean Airlines with an extensive background in general management, business development, sales, marketing and operations having worked for many years at several large Jamaican and Caribbean-based corporations in the fields of, telecommunications, food and beverage and transportation (maritime), including his latest post as general manager of The Caribbean Shipping Association, the airline said in a statement.
With a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of the West Indies, St Augustine, Trinidad and Project Management certification from the University of New Orleans, Forbes’s management skills and diverse experience are the right mix to accelerate the growth and development of the airline, it added.
Forbes replaces Will Rodgers who has been acting general manager at the airline since February 2011.
